Though we have a strong and very loving courtship with guacamole, sometimes it’s good to mix up even the best of relationships. The chipotle sauce laced into the guacamole is also great added into a marinade, served along side eggs, or used in a Michelada.
- 1 teaspoon ground chipotle powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoons sea salt
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon water
- 2 avocados, mashed
- ½ teaspoon fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon white onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon chives, chopped
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
Combine the chipotle, garlic and salt in a small bowl. Add the apple cider vinegar and water, stir into a paste.
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix together. We prefer our guacamole on the chunkier side, so we cut the avocado up into cubes and gently stir, but you can also mash the avocado.
Dollop the chipotle sauce over the guacamole and swirl the two together. Serve with chips.
