Downton Abbey: English Tea Party
Lady Edith High Tea Cocktail
Transform your everyday afternoon tea into an unforgettable evening cocktail. This tangy beverage combines tea-infused gin with a few simple ingredients to make a sophisticated drink you will be proud to serve to your friends. And, it’s named after one of our very favorite Downton Abbey characters. Here’s to you, Edith!
In a cup, combine the loose leaf tea and the gin. Allow the mixture to steep for 30 minutes. Strain the gin and place in a shaker with the lemon, simple syrup (1 part water to 1 part sugar), Lillet and ice. Shake well and pour into your glasses. If you are feeling fancy, feel free to give the glass a sugar rim. Top off with a bit of club soda, and serve.
